Serving: 2 - Prep: 35 min - Cook: 25 min - Total: 1 h

Ingredients

  • 3 Russet (King Edward is a good replacement) potatoes

  • 1 TBSP Olive oil (or any vegetable oil)

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the potatoes; you can leave the skin on for extra texture.

  2. First, cut a thin slice off one side of each potato to create a flat surface. Then, slice the potatoes evenly. Stack these slices and cut them into strips of approximately the same size for uniform cooking.

  3. Wash the sliced potatoes in cold water 2-3 times until the water runs clear, then cover them with cold water and set aside for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  4. After soaking, drain the potatoes and pour boiling water over them until covered. Let sit for 10 minutes to parboil slightly, enhancing their crispiness.

  5. Lay out a kitchen towel or paper towel and thoroughly dry the potato strips.

  6. Toss the dried potatoes with 1 tbsp of olive oil to coat them evenly.

  7. Place the potatoes in a preheated air fryer set to 200°C (392°F) and cook for 20-25 minutes. Shake the basket several times during cooking to ensure even crispiness.

  8. Once cooked, season the fries with salt or your preferred seasoning to taste.
